Hi, I’m Debbie! For over 30 years, I’ve called the beautiful town of Cambria home, and my love for nature runs deep. As an avid hiker, biker, snowboarder, and budding birder, I’ve always felt most alive when surrounded by trees. That passion led me to become a Certified Forest Therapy Guide, where I help others rediscover their connection to the natural world. Before diving into forest therapy, I owned Artifacts art gallery for 13 years and have spent 17 years as a professional photographer, capturing everything from family portraits, weddings and corporate events to real estate and the beauty of nature—especially birds! When I’m not guiding or behind the lens, I’m soaking up life with my lovely two grown kids, my Catahoula Leopard dog, and two Tortie cats. I’m also a big fan of exploring National Parks and traveling to new places that inspire awe and wonder.
I wholeheartedly believe that direct experience is the only teacher. Experiencing calmness and connection with nature, while paying attention to what and how we pay attention (noticing our breath, senses, thoughts, and elements of nature nearby) for a little time each day, can transform ourselves and beyond.
This website is a space to help you reconnect with nature, and embrace the profound sense of belonging that comes with it. Come back anytime to nurture that connection – and remember, you are always a part of this ecosystem, and you always belong.
